I am writing because i am a very unhappy person right now i called direct tv to see able upgrading my service and found out that i was bring charges for a receiver that had to be replaced, because it was not working and the supervisor that i spoke to told me that ishe would send it out to me this one time and that everything was free but that was a lie. Then i asked to have a copy of the phone conversation that i had with the supervisor and then they tell me that not all phone calls are being recorded and i said that, thats bull s* then why do yall say that these calls are being recorded. So then i said that i am not happy with the service and that i want to cancel it they told me that i have a pay $300 dollars to cancel and now im stuck with something that i do not want anymore. And i dont think that this is fair, i have never experience anything like this and i will tell everybody i know and have them tell everybody they know not to sign up with DIRECT TV.
I am now trying to find out if this is against the law because i am ready to sue this company for false information about the conversaton being recorded and for not letting me cancel my service even though i have always paid my bill on time and sometime early. If anybody has any information on this i would appreciate it very much.
