It was motivating, albeit distressing, to read the other accounts of Publicity Guaranteed's and Alex Konanykhin's fraudulent and border line sociopathic business practices.
I encourage those, like me, who were fooled by this ruse to report him to their respective state's Better Business Bureaus and, via complaint, to connect to pursue restitution for damages incurred by his crimes.
Below please find the specifics of the Publicity Guaranteed's ruse and fraudulent credit card perpetration against me.
I have documentation and legal evidence supporting this response.
1.in January of after lengthy discussions with Nat Kurok to confirm my articles would be placed in publications aimed at my target high end corporate client base, I engaged Publicity Guaranteed to advertise my boutique management consulting service. Publicity Guaranteed agreed to publish my article in publications aimed at this audience. I should have been forewarned when they incorrectly input my credit card number and Alex Konanykhin called immediately, almost in a panic, to get my correct number.
2. After seeing how Publicity Guaranteed placed my article in low grade, cheap or free, supermarket flier quality publications, I realized Publicity Guaranteed's publicity program was a ruse, intended to capture my credit card number and charge me a premium for placements through an established network of low quality publications, marking up charges at a break neck pace before I could interfere or stop the crime. They initially stated I would have placement approval rights and input, but they lied and misled me and charged my card without my approval.
3. Immediately, on February 7, in a phone conversation, I demanded these services be halted. A representative from Publicity Guaranteed agreed to stop all services and charges.in the process of explaining my displeasure, Alex Konanykhin's behavior became nothing less than ignorant and abusive. It was clear his and his company's aim has no interest in benefiting its clients. It is an intended ruse created to rip people off and must be stopped.in addition, on March 7, per Publicity Guaranteed's agreement instructions, I sent a certified letter, officially cancelling their services. I assumed this horror show was over.
4. After these cancellations, Publicity Guaranteed charged my credit card a total of $1540 without my permission and for no additional services. Bank of America, the credit card issuer, canceled the card, researched my complaint, and reversed the charges of $385 made on 3-13-07 by Publicity Guaranteed and reversed charges of $1155 made by Publicity Guaranteed on 7-19. I assumed the case was closed.
5. On December 6 I received a motion of judgment against me for $4,102.35, an amount more than double the fraudulent credit card activity perpetrated by Publicity Guaranteed. This motion requiring me to respond to and contend the claim with the Fairfax County General District Court by December 4. My guess is Publicity Guaranteed did not send the notice with appropriate warning time, knowing the overloaded courts would not catch this oversight, rendering me virtually helpless to defend my case.
6. Per Virginia Code 16.1-79 or 16.1-81 I was not afforded due process of the law to defend this fraudulent claim. I received this Notice of Motion of Judgment two days after my required response date. As a result, I had no ability to defend myself. This motion should have been made void and of no effect.in addition, I responded as such to the Fairfax County General Court who had thirty days to address my complaint and response, yet never responded. According to Virginia's Codes, this also would make the motion against me void.
7. I thought the claims were void and of no effect. I assumed the case was closed and no claim would appear on my credit report. Thus, I was shocked to learn recently of a judgment against me on a recent credit report.
8. I run a good and honest management consulting business where my clients are my precious commodity and I have cultivated these international clients on my own. Thus, I find Alex Konanykhin's behavior appalling. The fact his ruse has been allowed to continue is even more egregious. This is the only judgment ever made against me and I was not afforded my right to defend myself against Publicity Guaranteed's ruse.
I encourage those who were misled and robbed by Publicity Guaranteed to join in a mutual fight against their illegal practices and I warn those considering their services to run the other way.
