On March 10 I was charged $899.00 for advertising/marketing to sell my timeshare in Ocean City, MD. The ad never showed up on the website and I was out the money. When I called the company they made one excuse after another as to why I could not see the add. They told me to put in my ad # and I would see it. I did and I could.
After a year I got another sales person who informed me that I wasn't getting any "bites" on my timeshare because there weren't any rental weeks attached. If I wanted to sell "quickly" I needed to buy a block of lease weeks to make it more attractive. I sent them another $2388 again for advertising and marketing but the ad never appeared on the website. When the charge went through my credit card, all correspondence STOPPED! I called on numerous occasions sometimes several times a day.
I have filed a dispute with my credit card company who told me to send a certified letter which I did on May 14. The letter was signed for on May 18th but I still have not spoken to anyone at RSBO. The credit card company had to wait 90 days from the date on the contract to do anything but I have every confidence they will get my $2388 back. I fear however that I have lost the $899 forever.
