Shasta Pools designed and built pool/spa in June at Pulte Del Webb with Shasta slaes office on site of Pulte sales center. From start, problems with water over and through spa dam and spillway. Repairs have taken place three times with Shasta overseeing work with subcontractor (recommended by Shasta). Spa dam continuing to leak and in April tiles started falling off inside of spa. Numerous calls to Shasta and continual run around by their warranty department resulting in Shasta trying to blame problems on subcontractor (Southwest Commercial Services who is out of business).
Further damage discovered with large crack beneath water level in spa that runs for 3 feet where tiles cracked and falling off. This crack is through Shasta installed tiles and gunite base. Shasta continues to refuse repairs using the convenient scapegoat of a company that they recommended, used and no longer exists. Spa strucurally not sound and leaks water down to crack in their gunite.
At one point Shasta said they would repair tiles but that has come to a hault as we filed ROC (Arizona Registrar of Contractors) complaint. Shasta Operations Manager (Mr. Yaknin) did offer to make repairs if we paid for it AND dropped ROC complaint... They don't want their image tarnished.
Shasta arrogant, uncooperative and now spitefull for having filed complaint. Their design and construction was/is flawed and thay refuse to honor contract warranty that includes a lifetime structure for leaks.
Shasta is a big company and bigger isn't always better. On site pool companies at new home development MUST be viewed with suspicion. We made two mistake... Selecting Shasta Pools and trustimg them to provide competent construction and subcontractors.
I'll update with results of ROC inspection and complaint... To say the least we are disgusted and fed up with Shasta!
