So one day Im on the internet looking for an english bulldog that my husband has always wanted. I come across a site where there are listings of all kinds of them one caught my eye since it said $400.00 dllrs. Even though that should of been the cause of me knowing it was a scam i looked into it. My sons birthday was approaching and my husband and i decided to communicate with the lady. We started off emailing she told us the dog was up for adoption and that it would only be the 400.00 dllrs plus airflight charge that was it. Note we have never purchased a dog online so we had lots of questions. I told her let me call you or you call me. So she did call me reception was bad i could not hear her at all she came up with a lame excuse that phone lines were messed up there in Ohio.
So days went by and my husband and i decided to go ahead and purchase Billy (the name of the dog) for my sons birthday gift. So the day came when she dropped off Billy at the West Jet Postage Delivery company. She supposably paid 30.00 dllrs for his booking fee and we were to pay the 600.00 dllrs to the flight company (210.00 dllrs for the flight expense and 390.00 dllrs to her) the company would pay her her half. We received calls that morning from the flight company and her which were still bad reception this being on a sunny day outside and about 3 wks later. So we received emails from both the company and her stating we had to send the money through Western Union to a third party since the West Jet Postage Company was going through auditing. Note this was their supposably headquarters in Destination: Cameroon
City: Douala so my husband and I suspected something was up i emailed her and asked her the breeder wat was going on she sent emails saying ive used this company before they are ok dont be scared, i told her put urself in our shoes ur not going to send that much money to a foregin country and through western union who is not responsible for frauds. She sent back emails stating we were a waste of her time and had made her spend her money and wat was wrong with us and this and that. We later came to an understanding we pay only the freight cost of the dog 210.00 dllrs and she would get her money when we got our dog. Well that day went by and the company couldnt get him shipped. Next day we receive an email from flight company stating we had to purchase life insurance on the dog to get him delivered that the IATA required it and for half the price of real insurance all we had to pay to the same third party was 1000.00dllrs which 980.00 would be refunded to us when the dog made it to the airport and 20.00 dllrs would be their fee. That was the end of it i had it things were not matching up i tried looking up the company in the yellow pages nothing their phones were still messed up and them asking for more money. I came across this site ripoff and found stories similar to mine good thing too. I am now aware of the scam i was in which my husband and i suspected from the beginning yet shook off as impossible.
We were scammed $210 dllrs and money is not wat gets me its having to tell my son he wont be getting his dog and seeing his sad face. Plz i advise everyone dont fall for it like the saying goes if it sounds to good to be true it probably is there are really no more good ppl out there trust noone.
