I am like every truck driver, just trying to find the right job, or at least a decent job without all the lies when hired, like miles, good pay and home time, at first I thought Falcon was looking for experienced drivers to better the company, two other drivers were hired at the same time and we stayed in touch with each other, just in case,
Well one month later, I quit because it cost me more to stay on the road, then to stay home and look for another job, only getting a 1000 to 1400 miles a week, not to mention getting stranded in another state over the weekend because they can't find you a load to get you home and not getting layover pay to top it off. One of the other guys took his laptop on the road to find another job because he has a family and could'nt just quit like me,
He was also getting the same mileage and treatment on the road, the other lucked out for right now and got a GM dedicated route at least until June with half decent pay but he was told by his dispatcher that it's just temporary. Falcon will even let you stay the weekend in Canada unless they deadhead you home, (I deadheaded each time I was sent to Canada) oh by the way,
Sometimes they pay you to deadhead sometimes they do not, it is up to the dispatcher and you will not find out until you get paid, great huh. So roll the dice and take your chances with Falcon.
