Kay Jewelers sucks consumers in with a "Kay credit card "or typical "store card."
When my wife was unemployed, they had an aggressive collection agent call my number about 10 times a day. Problem is, that is my phone number with my name on the account.
I would always answer but they would never talk to me and hang up.
I started recording numbers from Jared the Galleria and Sterling Jewelers on my caller ID.
Finally, I called Account services and told them about the documented harassment of me and my phone line and the legal issues with Sterling Jewelers documenting their own harassment of me.
My wife never answers because she is unemployed and cannot pay anything right now.
If they stop calling me and giving my number to harassing collection agents, there is another problem. The high late fees, overlimit fees and high interest fees. The fact is, if they want me to help my wife pay now, they need to show me an amount that is reasonable.
I think the original charges totalled about two hundred dollars, but now it is near six hundred and climbing fast! It is the typical "store card ripoff" that President Obama is trying to stop with overlimit and late fees heaped on.
Plus I would like to point out that Sterling Jewelers, or what is the same, Kay Jewelers or Jared the Galleria of Jewelry is now well documented for phone harassment of its customers and people other than its customers like me.
