3 years ago I purchased $400 diamond earrings for my wife. I was told they had a lifetime guarantee. She has only wore them a half a dozen times and has them in their original box. Last week... She was putting them in and to her shock... The post was gone. It was in her ear!!! It broke off while trying to put them in!!! This had to be a defective product! I took them to Osterman Jewelers in Terre Haute, In and they informed me that the guarantee only covered the diamonds... And they would not pay for the repair. We were shocked. Sterling Jewelers called and told me that they $400 earrings would cost me $85 to get repaired!!! I tried to explain to no avail. They were not going to back their product. I am being ripped off!!! I will continue to tell my story so no one will ever buy anything from this store or company. They have lost my business. So much for their lifetime guarantee.
