We were at work and decided to order pizza for lunch. We had some hungry howies coupons laying around so we decided to give them a call. We ordered a medium extra cheese with some breadsticks our total came to $11.75 for a delivery. When our pizza arrived the 4 of us all fixed a plate and we started eating the most awful pizza weve ever had. The sauce was minimal and the crust tough, the bread tasted like it had been slathered in salt and way too much garlic. So we all threw it away and called and complained. When i called to complain the first person i spoke to was very understanding in the fact that we were dissatisfied with the product. She than passed me on to a manager who identified himself as the manager, who than told me that he had listened to the whole conversation i had had with the first person, which thru the conversation with him i quickly realized he had no clue what was going on which wouldnt have been true had he really listened. So he tried offering more food, we didnt want more food, and argued with me telling me i needed to give them a second chance, we declined, so he continued pushing us to accept more food, and we continued declining i finally was to the point of frustration so i told him that he could come pick up the remainder of the food 2 or 3 slices of pizza and over half the bread, the rest was in the trash so i offered to pull it out before it left the building to send with the driver when he arrived with the refund, he declined so i said the conversation is over and hung up. The driver arrive about 20 min after i called with the refund i thanked him and carried on with my work day. About 15 min after the driver left a female appeared in our store and identified herself as the owner of hungry howies and continued on to confront me in front of a line of my customers saying that i never should of complained about the food and i should have taken more food and gave them a second chance and than told me i was rude and disguisting for complaining and than told me that her, her employees, family, and friends would no longer patronize our establishment. And than demanded that i go out to the dumpster and dig for the rest of the pizza, i explained to her that i do not work for the trash courier and that i would not dig in a dumpster and she proceeded to tell me that i was close enough to being trash so it shouldnt offend me that she said it. So i told the woman that was fine and to leave our establishment and she continued to say that she would call my higher ups and let them know about this situation as well. I have worked in the service industry for 6 years and i have never seen a corporation allow their franchisees to speak to their customers in such a disguisting manner. Im thoroughly and utterly appalled that a "business owner" would have the gall to speak to a customer this way. This has been the most atrocious experience i have ever had with any restaurant.
