Called saying they're associated with Bank of America and offered Accidental Death Benefit Life Insurance

I am a licensed life insurance agent. I know the law well. I'm not presently selling insurance for anyone — and don't want to.

This firm called, promised an Accidental Death Benefit policy, and then said I would be billed monthly through automatic withdrawals from my checking account.

I never received anything in the mail. I never signed for anything. Two months later automatic withdrawals began which overdrew my account costing me more money and trouble. This is illegal and the insurance commissioner can sue for this and win without difficulty.

Calling them: The answering systems says, "We're available to take your call from 7AM to 7PM, Thankyou." (There is no time zone mentioned. Where they are is mysterious.)

Calling in mid day I get another recording: "Due to high call volume we're unable to process your call now. Please call again later."

This can go on for eternity. They should all have an accidental death.

I've called Bank of America. I'm trying a few more times to reach Smart Step. If that doesn't work I'm calling and writing to the Florida State Insurance Commissioner. Attorneys involved in Class Action Law Suits against this firm are invited to contact me.
