Ambus Registry contacted our secretary last week and told her it was time to renew our business listing and needed to confirm the address. The sales Rep informed her that it was the final listing for our 2 year subscription. After the address was confirmed, a 2nd sales rep called to confirm the order, recording the conversation.
When our secretary learned we had no subscription with Ambus, she tried repeatedly to contact the company to cancel any order that may have been made, but was unable to talk to anyone.
We received a CDRom a week later and a bill for $379. I called as the owner of the company telling the collections person, Kim Davie, that we were returning the CD Rom and did not have any such subscription. She said she had a recorded conversation of our secretary confirming the order, and she would be glad to talk with our company attorney, but we are liable for the $379 (less $90 if we return the CD)
It is quite a scam... Please be aware!
