First call came from Bill, the second call cames from Matthew, Bill's supervisor. Matthew said he had a buyer for my timeshare, already had a down payment, and I was going to net x dollars more then the selling price. All I had to do was give a deposit of $1298.00, which was refunded at the time of the sale, pay marketing fees, and some other fees.By that time the red flags were standing straight out.
I started questioning him in regards to the sale and why could I not see a contract before giving a deposit. I told him that a seller never puts a deposit down... He came back with excuses like it was needed for the title search, marketing fees (which I told him he never marketed my property) so then he changed it to finding a buyer.
He got a little frustrated with me and said he would call me back later today. I hope who ever he calls again will not fall into his trap.
