This bank is ridiculous, I don't recommend them to anybody, for any reason. My Mother, my sister, and I all have accounts at this bank, and are all closing them right away. My account went into the negative, I deposited the money needed quickly to avoid overdraft fees.instead of taking the credit before the debit, they did it the other way around. Then charged me $175 worth of overdraft fees for 5 items all under $10. I deposited another $340 this morning thinking they would have taken the credit before the debit, so now I have lost that money as well. This is all the money I have left to last me from my paycheck, I haven't even got to buy groceries or gas yet. So now what do I do? Let my kids starve?
Two weeks ago, I called because a company took an unauthorized payment from my account, they told me it would be 7-10 business days for them to review it, and suggested I call the company. I did so, the next day regions refunded $130 into my account, the day after that so did the company. I didn't realize it at first, until the money was gone (bad on my part), but I called to be sure they could wait to take it back in 2 days when I got my paycheck, (stupid on my part) sorry ma'am we have to take it back right now, I didn't have the money in the account for them to take it back, so I got charged overdraft fees for them taking it back, and for everything else that hadn't posted yet. Seriously how long would it have taken them to realize and research it? Probably another 2 days, thats what I get for trying to be an honest customer.
My mom has a checking and savings account with them, she had went negative in her checking account, but thanks to online banking she was able to move money from her savings to her checking to avoid overdraft fees, right? WRONG, they still took the Debit before the credit, and charged her over $1000 in overdraft fees.
In these hard times we need all the help we can get, and I am sure you do to, so don't go to regions. The obvioulsy are not out to help anyone but themselves. Isn't it bad enough that our tax money goes to all these banks to bail them out, yet they rob us of our living money as well???
