More than 64 usacomplaints.com against eHarmony. Here's one more. Won't refund my money even when I followed their guidelines

I have been paying eHarmony on and off for more than six years. I fell for the TV ads and thought that this service would help me find a suitable partner.

In the past 6 months, I have only gotten to the open communication portion of the guided communication one time! And when I met that person, he was nothing like his profile. So I gave up on eHarmony. But they automatically charged my credit card another $140 for another six months. I read the fine print on their web site which states that if you contact their office within 3 days of the renewed subscription period and want to cancel, you can do so by contacting them in several different ways. I clicked on the link to submit an email. I asked for a verification of my email and cancellation and refund. I didn't receive it. So I sent a second email. Then I called the office and was told that they hadn't received my emails and since it was more than 3 days after the renewal date, I could not get a refund.

I'm certain that this company does this sort of stuff to make it difficult for the consumer to get a refund. After YEARS of paying this company, they would not even grant me a refund for an additional 6 months of their service. This makes me so angry. The customer service rep wouldn't give me his last name so that I could make reference to him in my complaint. He wouldn't give me the NAME of someone in the company to address a complaint to — just the company address where I'm sure all such letters are tossed in the round file.
I am going to tell each and every one of my friends about eHarmony and the way that they rip people off by not allowing cancellations/refunds according to their own conditions — and act like this is the first time that such a problem has been reported.

Neil Clark Warren: you have some really bad karma heading your way for all the rip-offs that your company is responsible for. It's a pity that you have to take advantage of people who are just looking for love and fall for the TV ads and get sucked in by the website.

By the way, I think that the 29 dimensions of compatibility is BS. They just match you up with whomever is also in your geographical area.
