EHarmony
Fraudulent and deceptive

Eharmony is a fraud, pure and simple. I've been at their site for two years (I'm a slow learner) because I'm a sap when I see those commercials. I would LOVE to find someone with whom to share my life and I'm a big believer in persistence.

The problem with eHarmony is, most of the "matches" I get never respond to communication. Many others "close communication" within an hour or two of my being notified of a new match.

Eharmony doles out matches, based on how close it is to renewal time for your subscription. And it's heavily weighted in favor of me. I've received 160 matches in 19 months. A male friend has received 1,420 in 15 months. Yes, you read that right. He hardly has time to glance at the photos, which brings me to another point. If you're outside the capricious parameters of "beauty" set my our culture, then you'll get passed by like a dead skunk on the autobahn.

Because men have so many choices, they're not even reading these profiles.

Last but not least, is the issue of cads. Many of the men I've met through eHarmony are among the lowest quality men I've met, PERIOD. My favorite "good Christian date" said, "I'm not interested in a relationship, but can we get together and have sex now and then?"

Thanks, eHarmony. The other men I've met are a helluva lot more interested in getting into your pants than they are forming a relationship. I thought men at eHarmony wanted "relationships."

Eharmony should change their ads to state, "For fast easy sex, we're the ticket" because that's what MEN at this site seem to think.

And the other thing... (and this is not a small thing). The matches are dreadful. My favorites are the high school dropouts who border on being homeless. Now I'm not that picky, but I have no interest in someone who asks, 14 times during dinner, "So how much do you think you'll make *next* year?"

I'm looking for a man who is an equal, not a man who wants to work at my company. Ick.

I wish I knew who to write about eHarmony. They're a massive fraud being perpetrated on an unsuspecting (and single) public.
