Company salespeople make their product seem very good for the price. My salesperson, Andy Andrews, was an honest looking older gentleman who sold me on the idea that their publication was distributed right at the cash registers so "people will automatically look at the ads".
After waiting a couple of months and NOT receiving one response to my ad, which happens to be on the cover, I contacted all the other advertisers and wasn't surprised to find out that none of them had any responses either.
When I visited the store which is distributing the publication I found out that it was in one of those house and apartment racks at the bottom of the rack. It also only had a few publications there. So, either the book is going out like gangbusters or they are only issuing a few to display. Since my ad (which advertises a watch battery for $2.80 installed) tends to get overwhelming response from every other publication I have gone with, I tend to believe they aren't supplying very many.
If you read the contract closely you will see that NAC doesn't guarantee any # of magazines to be distributed, only that "The publications will be shipped to the distribution point and will be monitored and restocked on a regular basis for a period of one year."
I made the mistake of advertising with this company. I hope this site will help someone else to not make the same mistake.
