We bought our Magnum R/T last year and was given the whole nine yards about why to buy an extended warranty. I repeatedly told them I thought they were bullshit because the last couple I bought with different cars (at different dealerships) were almost useless and covered nothing promised. Eventually we caved in because he (Zach) said that if we had this, we could bring it in with as many items as we felt needed fixed for only a single visit charge.in other words, we should only have to pay $108.00 for a visit no matter how many things needed fixed on THAT visit, provided they were covered by the warranty. WELL, after bringing the car in twice for the radio that won't pick up any stations for more than a few seconds, we brought the car in again because the tranny leaked, the engine light was on and the damned radio STILL didn't pick up local stations. The excuse for the radio the 2nd time in was "well, with the mountains and all...".
SOOO, this time when we brought it in with these 3 items and actually a couple more that weren't covered by warranty, JASON told us it was $108.00 PER ITEM! I freaked out and told him the salesman had lied to me and I wanted that stuff fixed and I would be in touch with him, the salesman, and his boss. I do admit to a major string of obscenities coming from my mouth before leaving. THEN my wife calls while looking at our warranty online - she is looking directly at the line that says $108.00 PER VISIT while talking to the service manager-he knows nothing of it. THEN transfered to the front office, while still looking at it and the completely inept lady tells her she doesn't know what warranty we have. As if our home computer is showing something online she doesn't have right there in the office.
JASON also tried to charge me a fee for diagnostic on the tranny that was completely covered by warranty -$51.00 he wanted to charge me, plus $108.00 for each item. After raising much hell and getting no help or answers only indifferent attitudes to us, we gave up and considered calling an attorney. Today they called and said everything was fixed and the price would only be $100.00. NO APOLOGY, NO REASON WHY he thought he could get away with it. AND if we had not fought them or called them on it, they would have gotten away with it. COMPLETE a-holes too all the way. Only the service manager seemed to care but confessed to know nothing about our warranty.
BY THE WAY, this car is falling apart completely at an alarming rate. It acts as if it has 90K miles on the suspension and motor. I am beginning to think the odometer has been rolled back. Screw you christophers' dodgeworld!!
