I received a $25.00 Visa gift card for my college graduation 2008. When I went to use my card just recently at a local department store they told me the card was invalid.
I called the (800) number and they told me it was only a $7.00 balance on the card. I told them how could this be and they said they charged me a monthly fee of $9.95. I was outraged, this is a rip off and how could they just take my money. They told me it was disclosed on the back of the card.
Well if you look on the back of the card this message is embossed in the account numbers on the card, making it impossible to read. I asked to speak with a supervisor and I have been waiting now for over an hour and 45 minutes to talk with a supervisor. And guess what, they never came back to the phone!
I will tell every friend and anyone I know to "NEVER" purchase a card Visa gift card, because its a RIP-OFF
