I got P90X as a recommendation from my firefighter son. I was not overweight, just really out of shape, whimpy and disproportionate. I followed the program to the letter and did not cheat even a little bit. What I got back was nothing short of mind-blowing! I went from not being able to do one push-up from my toes or one unassisted pull-up to doing one-arm push-ups from toes and over a hundred pull-ups in a session! I can't believe the strength gains from one week to the next!!! It's not just upper body either, my core is super lean and so strong and my legs are firm and shapely! I am soooooo HAPPY! I am now on to P90X and I LOVE it! However, I have to note, this is not a program for quitters or whiners, you have to stick with it and push through the initial soreness. The program WORKS, its incredible but like anything worth while, you only get out of it what you put into it. I am a 48yr old female and I gave it all I had, what I got back was a body that looks and feels 17yrs old and other benefits I wasn't even expecting!
