I just checked my Visa bill and I note that the last bill added was one that I had never heard of. It was called Savings2Go.
I purchased a vacuum cleaner over the TV several months ago. They had offered a plan of some kind where my account would be charged monthly if I did not cancel within 30 days.
The name of their plan was Valueplusonline. I cancelled that within the 30 days and have the name of the person I spoke to on 11/4/08. I do recall getting something in the mail with the name Savings2Go. I thought it was the same thing I cancelled.
Now, going back through my Visa statements, I see I have been charged on 2/3/09,1/2/09 and 12/2/08. I also find it interesting that the Valueplus was to be charging $19.95 per month, but this is charging 14.95 per month.
At any rate, I didn't approve it and I want all the money returned. I would be willing to consider joining in on a class action lawsuit, but only after speaking to a legal advisor.
I did call the number listed on my bill, which I also gave to this complaint. I plan to contact them in the morning to see just what is going on and will report any new information as soon as possible.
