We had cell phone service with AT&T for over 3 yrs. Where we had dropped calls at least 2-3 times a day and where they messed up the bill more than a few times. We had 3 iphones on the plan and my husband bought one of the 2nd gen iPhones to replace his. He had 30 days, at that time, to return it if he didn't like it. He had it 2 days and didn't like it so he was going to return it. A friend of his wanted it so they both went to an AT&T store and asked if he could have it taken off his plan and put it on his friend's plan and they said sure, no problem. Next month when we got our bill we saw they were still charging us for the new data plan so my husband called them. They transferred him to different ppl and departments over and over and over and he got nowhere. He called different stores, AT&T direct, spoke to managers... Telling them what happened and that they cannot charge him monthly for a plan that he doesn't even have and that they are charging his friend for the same plan. It made no sense but they didn't care and basically refused to fix it. They blamed it on Apple and Apple blamed it on them. He got so mad that he told them if they didn't fix it he was going to cancel all his lines and go to Verizon because he wasn't going to pay for something he didn't even have. They transferred him to the cancellation dept. So after more than 3 yrs of putting up with dropped calls, paying them a ton of money every month, not being late ever... They just treat you like crap for something that was 100% their fault and totally unfair. So he cancelled our lines and we went to Verizon. We have been with them for over 2 1/2 yrs now and not only do we have MUCH better coverage but we also have much better customer service! AT&T has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen.
