As an marketing consultant, I DO get mentions of this from potential clients who run backgrounds, etc. As is not uncommon these days for those seeking to secure a large contract for a substantial fee of my prominent work. When I explain and at times have needed to show proof of this to an employer, I am the laughing stock to say the very least.
