I had been bothered by calls on my cell for a week and decided to finally answer. I could not understand the person very well and I thought it was about some road side assistance i had requested through my discover card. Turns out it was "Discovery magazine service" and some how they signed me up for some crazy road side assistance, an identity theft watch, a thing called "Road to wealth" and a 5 year magazine subscription to the tune of $900.
When i called Discovery about the matter they said "you didn't return the cancellation slip in time" "you can pay 35 percent of what is owed and we will cancel you membership" So they want me to pay $335 to get out of the magazine service membership. I DON'T THINK SO!
I did some research and it appears this company tries to hide behind a number of telemarketing services, different addresses, and damn near impossible to trace 1-800 numbers. I do have the email and fax number for the president of the company and was very tempted to enlist my own brand of justice but decided to wait for my ripoff revenge book:) and now the fun begins
