I received this very official-looking letter from the "Financial Services Data Division" and the "Office of the Prize Director" telling me I'm a confirmed winner of a drawing that I did not enter, and I'm now eligible to win $998,407.77, and I must confirm receipt of the letter within 10 days. The ACTUAL winning amount (as explained on the back of the letter) could be any of the folowing amounts with odds of 1,000, 000 to 1 ($9984.00); 4 to 1,000, 000 ($2500.00);
8 to 1,000, 000 ($1200.00); 12 to 1,000, 000 ($98.47); and here's the sure winner: 1 to 1 (. 89cents). So for a small fee of $24.87 I am sure to win. 89 cents!
The state of Florida is a hunting ground for these scam artists who prey upon Florida's senior citizens. Many have been brought to court by our Attorney General for the same offense, and the Attorney General needs to be told about this scheme. This type of fraud really angers me, and I hope all who read this will contact the proper government officials.
