I sent for a Free kit which is probably a cd on information on how to make money on the internet through Earn Microsoft Cash. The reason I even filled out the information is because they used Microsoft's name. I thought it was legitimate.
I ended up being charged $69.95. There was no trial period mentioned on their website. There was not amount of money anywhere on there website. I do not know how they got my credit card number, but they did not ask for it and I did not give it to them. I am thinking spyware of some sort because I have never used that card on line. I used it a couple of times at the grocery store. I have a refillable debit card which I put money on to pay bills and I have a Pay Pal account and credit card for internet purposes.
I spoke to a representative named Dave and he reluctantly gave me his managers name who is Sarah. He would not give me her last name. He kept saying she was in a meeting and to call back in an hour. They told me to go to the website and cancel the account. I refused to cancel an account that I did not open.
I have notified my bank and canceled my credit card and ordered a new one. That is another $20.00 and the dispute for the $69.95 may take upto 90 days to be resolved. I see many complaints about this company ripping off people. How can they keep doing this with out any criminal charges. Is there away legal action can be taken against them?
