On 25, December. I purchased Volvo S40 at the cost of $1,700 from Ride Safely.com. While I understand that the "Vehicle is Sold as is-No Warranty", but I was persuaded on the Auction Verification "Runs and Drives".
On 6th January when the car was shiped only to discover that the engine had been damage. What surprise me is that on January, 5 I received email from Ridesafely Stating - "Available parts for Volvo S40".
At this point I became convinced that something was wrong. Apparently, I decided to contact customer service only to be inform that they no warranty and Vehicle is sold as is. My question to them was: Why False Advertisement and misrepresentation, " Runs and Drives". Clearly this was those cars that got damage during hurrican season, yet, you collaborated with insurance auction to manipulated the public. Further, I requested if they can replace the engine or pay half of it, only to be denied.
My concern is that why should Ride safely being aware of damage to vehicle still put false publicity and go with it. This is unfair. Ride Safely should be accountable for false publicity even as I'm responsible for the vehicle is sold as is. Please help me to stop Ride Safely and Insurance Auction from taking advantage of the public while they protected themselve from law suite.
Sincerely
