Safe Ride Warranty proposes to sell extended vehicle warranties. After receiving a notice that your vehicle warranty is due to expire, a company representive calls during the day hoping to catch the wife or elderly person who is told that they must act now as the warranty price is about to increase. There is no need to worry however since the cancellation policy is easy and guarnteed should you change your mind within 30 days.
Cancelling is difficult. Answering machines, no returned phone calls, intimdating interogation as to why you are cancelling. Part of the promo pack you are sent are two worthless bottles of engine and transmission additive called The Shield.
When you insist on cancelling you are told to return the information packet but can keep the bottles of additive. Once the 30 day period expires Safe Ride advises your credit card company that you have defaulted on the cancellation policy because you did not return the shield additives. $295 fee for a questionable product that may cost Safe Ride $1.
Safe Ride does not need to sell vehicle warranties, it has a good scam going when it can collect $295 from trusting customers and hope your creit card company sides with their dishonest version of events.
