Scam Cashier Check for Mystery Shoppe

I received a mail from undisclosed sender. It smell bad at first sight. Canadian stamp and the post tried to return to sender but not successful.
In the envelope, there are a cashier check of $4,996.00, Customer Service Evaluation Form and a letter describing my why I'm chosen and my job description including my salary and training pay ($300), Walmart purchase ($50), Gap purchase ($40), Western Union transfer plus service charge ($1,612 $99), Moneygram transfer plus service charge ($2,835 $60).
The check looks real. I didn't check with the bank. But look up online and found numbers of similar case like this.

Just wondering why people are so sick doing this kind of thing.
I hope nobody fall into this kind of scam.
