Today I received something in the mail. It was a white envelope with my name and address... That's it. The stamp was from CANADA.
I opened it up and it was from SHOPPERS INQUEST INC. (Best source for mystery customer employment).
In the letter it congratulates me for being part of a 'pre-selected' group of people who are to represent their company as a mystery shopper. It then tells me my 'first assignment' which was to spend $4,998 on these companies and the amount I was to spend on every one of them:
Wal-Mart purchase: $50
Gap Purchase: $40
Western Union Transfer: $1,579
Service Charnge by Western Union: $99
Moneygram Transfer: $2,873
Service Charge by Moneygram: $57
Included in the envelope was a cashier's check from Black Hills Community Bank in the amount of $4,998.
If you have ever received a letter of this sort, DO NOT GO THROUGH WITH THE 'ASSIGNMENT'!!! I called the number they provided me 1-647-241-3750 and I asked for a website to show that they are a legitimate company and they gave me www.mysteryshoppingjobs.com which is just a search engine for mystery shopping websites. It is NOT their actual website.
After you go through with the assignment you will receive a Returned Deposited Item Fee along with the original cost of the Cashier's check.
