I received an envelope in the mail (with no return address & Canadian Stamps) from Customer Inquiry Inc. The correspondence included a letter stating that I had been chosen to be a mystery customer & a cashiers check for $4995.
The letter (from Jack A. Dill) basically stated that I was to pose as a potential shopper at Wal-Mart & The Gap & evaluate them.
The purpose of the check was to cover my expenses & pay me for my assignment. Here is the break down:
$ 250.00 - Salary & Training
$ 50.00 - WalMart Purchase
$ 40.00 - Target Purchase
$1600.00 Western Union Transfer
$ 110.00 Service Rate
$2887.00 MoneyGram Transfer
$ 58.00 - Money Gram Fee
Please Beware!!! That this is a scam. Once you cash/deposit the check it will bounce. Your will have already sent the wire transfers & you will be out of your money once the bank reverses the funds. I saw several of similar frauds here in Rip Off (Money value changes, company name changes as well the amount to be wired)
Please. Please. Please Don't fall for this
