Deposit checks were entered in wrong account by UBS. Entirely their fault. Consequently, property tax check written by us was sent back for payment (by County Assessor), 3 times (to UBS) - refused each time. We were UBS customers in good standing - never a bad check - for over 10 years. UBS did not notify us when check was returned. Assessor now charges steep (over $340) penalty. UBS does not communicate w/us, charged our account $15.00, refused to pay County Assessor penalty, forwarded the matter to their New York 'customer relations' office. Haven't heard boo since (over two weeks). Meantime, assessor penalty grows. We have never been treated this shabbily by any bank. They truly should have to answer to a governmental regulatory agency (FDIC?) and be penalized.
