There is some very official looking paperwork that came in the mail. This paperwork offered to file an exemption to have our property taxes lowered. The have a processing fee of $49.
In small print, it states NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY GOVERMENT AGENCY. I have been unable to speak with a person. I did call the office of the assessor, and they stated they provide this service for free.
We are being taken advantage of. Please do not send your money to this company. The correct agency to contact is the OFFICE OF THE ASSESSOR. I believe every county is different.
