Last night I found a hard white substance in my bread. The piece I took out was not on the end it was a couple in, so the peice was not handled before. There was a small white piece of somthing embedded in the bread. I took it out and crushed part of it and it broke in my finger. When I rubbed it on my hand it stuck. Could this be yeast or flour? It looked like Flour but how would it get into the bread like that? Is there any way this can be checked. I have bagged the two pieces of bread and saved the loaf.
