I entered into what I thought was a legitimate agreement with a reputable company in 2004. I paid them a $5000 fee to take their course with the agreement they would buy the distressed property I chose and I would later sell this particular property at a 25% mark-up than the original purchase price. I found several properties I did market analysises on, took picures of, figuring cost repairs and estimates of supplies needed to fix up the property.
Every property I submitted with all the required information they asked for was turned down. (Which was several.) After almost 2 years of their noncompliance on their promise, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and didn't contact them again. Nothing was ever done.
I hope you don't make as costly an error in judgement with this company as I.
