I lived at Bayview apartments for 22 out of 24 months. They had faulty wiring so "Disney Radio" broadcasted through everything including my telephone, my modem, my baby monitor, my DVD player. We complained several times and they kept saying it was the cable companies problem (the cable company was an exclusive company that we had to use there, we couldn't use anyone else). The cable company came out on several occasions and said that the wiring was not grounded correctly. It was an inconvenience until my 8 mos. Old daughter was hospitalized twice due to respitory problems. I needed to be able to work from home but I couldn't because I couldn't call customers on my telephone (because Radio Disney came through)
I couldn't use my fax machine or log onto the internet because of the interference. I also couldn't use my baby monitor to listen to my daughter breathing at night.
They never once offered to move me to a different unit or let me out of my lease early. I was never once late on my rent or had any complaints against me. I finally HAD to break my lease and now they're sending me to collections and won't even accept the payment plan that I offered to them.
Being that I have thousands of dollars of hospital bills, I can't pay them for 2 months of rent all in one shot.
