I no longer work for OSJL but I still have 2 children that work there. Please keep this e-mail address confidential or there will be repurcussions for my children to deal with. Every summer the trucks come to the store with pool chemicals mixed with other items. For example, in the front of the truck there will be 2 pallets of liquid pool shock and 2 pallets of chemical lawn fertizer side by side. Another example is liquid pool chemicals stacked onto dry pool chemicals. There have been many small spills on the truck that have caused certain items to mix. Eg: Spilled liquid Mega shock and spilled cat litter. There have been times that we would open the truck and something like this was smoking in the corner of the truck. Sometimes we would receive a shipping manifest ahead of time but lots of times not. We would ask the driver for his manifest but were told by all drivers that they do not carry one. My son told me that about a month ago that they shipped liquid pool chemicals back to the warehouse mixed with dry ones. So after complaining to the corporate office many times about these "rolling bomb trucks" this seems to be the way they continue to do it. I do not want my children to be hurt or worse from chemical burns or an explosion of some type, and I am very concerned when I have to pass one of these trailer trucks on the highway. If one ever flipped over there could be a huge chemical disaster. This is my 2nd e-mail to the D.O. T but I did not receive any response last time. These trucks travel through 5 States for deliveries. I hope this problem will be resolved before the swimming pool season starts again. Again, PLEASE keep this e-mail address confidential.
