I got an automated call saying if I wanted my credit card interest lowered to press a number. I did and got a real person saying I could have my interest lowered on my credit cards. She asked for one of my credit card numbers and I foolishly gave it to her, she put me on hold and came back on and said that I was in good standing with that credit card, so I would not have to pay their fee of 695.00 up front, she said one of my credit cards would be charged.
She didn't say that particular card would be charged, I assumed that once I mailed their paperwork back, then I would be charged. I received the paperwork which asked for all my credit card numbers, balances, etc. I looked on the internet and found out about all the scams, so I decided not to sign anything.
I sent the paperwork all back to them and told them I didn't want any part of it. I got my credit card bill for that particular credit card and saw that they had charged me the 695.00 I think the same day that they called.
I knew I should have called my credit card company right away, but I didn't. I did call them and they are going to dispute this with the company if they can get a hold of them. I tried calling on a Friday and Saturday and didn't get an answer or even an answering machine. Please don't give them any credit card numbers!!! Tell them NO!!!
