Two young women came to my door, my mother let them in the house because they said they lived in my neighborhood and that my neighbor Ken sent them over. I was in my living room on the floor playing with my two kids. The girls came right into my house, very pushy and with an air of familiarity. They claimed they were scholars in their journalism class and won a trip to London for 8 weeks, but needed to sell these magazines/books to help raise the money to go. They both sat on the floor right next to me. I was totally uncomfortable about them invading my space, and she kept looking at my kids saying "Hi Princess!" which is revolting to me.
She told me she lived right up the street, they were new to the area and perhaps I had seen her mother walking their yellow lab. They got in on the premise that they live in the neighborhood and that one of my neighbors sent them my way... So i'm thinking "oh, if Ken knows these girls, I'm sure they're okay, etc."
I was totally preoccupied because they came on a Friday evening at 5ish and I had dinner plans for the evening. I wanted them OUT OF MY HOUSE, so I hurriedly tried to get her to show me what they were selling. I usually DO try to help out the kids in my neighborhood. I should have known better. I had a "gut feeling" that things weren't right, but as I mentioned was preoccupied and in hurry. They smelled like smoke too, which was a total turnoff. Suffice it to say, I purchased a Dora book for my daughter, the charge was exorbitant, but I was thinking I was helping someone. After I did that, she asked if I would help out her friend by buying a magazine subscription for "one of the troops over seas" This, OF COURSE, hit a chord with me, and I obliged. They also told me that they would babysit for my kids. AS IF! In their dreams.
They both tried to hug and kiss me (i'm sure they were like "WOW, we sure got a sucker this time") then went over to neighbors house and pulled the same thing. "carla sent us over, I babysit for her kids, etc." They are total con artists who are little liars. It's sickening. DO NOT be fooled by these losers, like I (and a few of my neighbors) were. I have sent out a global email and have contacted about 30 people in my neighborhood to make sure if anyone bought from these losers, their check gets cancelled. While they fooled some of us, they won't be getting any closed "sales" out of this neighborhood.
Beware of PENNY HUSSEY, or whoever she is, of Dynasty Sales (also goes by Integrity Sales). Blond girl who tries to talk a smooth game about living in your neighborhood and a scholar. I'm sure, based on the type of job she has and the type of liar she is, these are pathetic dreams of a very sad pathetic girl.
