Nation Wide Moving Services is a BROKER that sub contracts work out to THUGS from Atlanta and various parts of the country that are unlicensed, and use rental trucks and local cheap storage facilities to move your belongings.
NWMS is only a BROKER with NO trucks, they get paid when you pay them a deposit. Then they wash their hands of you by BROKERING out your precious belongings to anyone they can fine on the side of the road.
They:
- brokered out our move to local unlicensed thugs
- the completely damaged most of all our new furniture.
- refused to reassemble furniture after drop-off per contract
- demanded $200.00 cash tip at drop off or would not open truck for inspection
OUR STORY:
We unfortunately fell victim to Nation Wide Moving Services, Kaufman, TX 75142
by stumbling across their FALSELY glorified website.

After giving NWMS a credit card deposit, they immediately BROKERED our move to a couple of men from Atlanta that went under the name of Dependable Movers (tel: 404-641-9725), no real business or website.
At pick-up, a day late, instead of NWMS knocking at the door as promised, there NOW were two men in an old white unmarked truck stating they were from a company called Dependable Moving Company, tel: 404-641-9725, (ironic name).
Both men appeared drunk, on drugs, and stated they were here to pick up our belongings. These two men then demanded a $200.00 dollars CASH TIP to open their old truck and begin loading.
Keep in mind this is AFTER PAYING Nation Wide Moving Services a $750.00 deposit.
So as mentioned, This new company, named Dependable Movers (tel: 404-641-9725) claimed that WE OWED THEM, THE DRIVERS, an additional $200.00 as a CASH TIP.
No where in our contract with NWMS did it mention a CASH TIP of $200.00.
When we asked, what happened to Nation Wide Moving Services???
The DRIVER told us that NWMS sells their deals and BROKERS out their deals to local drivers and somehow we had no say so about it!!!
Note; NWMS had already cashed our deposit of $750.00 and we had a flight to our new living destination the next day so we were against the wall for time and money.
The drivers then promised our belongings would be in Dallas in 3-5 days. (3-5 days is also stated in an email NWMS sends to prospective clients (try it) and on also on the contract we were given to us originally by NWMS.
18 DAYS LATER: with NO DELIVERY and a slew of false promises by both NWMS and Dependable Movers from Atlanta, GA., the Dependable Movers drivers called and awoke both me and my fiance' while we sleeping in the middle of the night, and asked for her to party with them as they were staying in a hotel nearby.
When she said "are you kidding and where is our furniture!!??" The drivers said they would not deliver our furniture for another few days and informed us that they wanted to be paid the reaming balance NOW only in CASH made out to Dependable Movers or they would store the furniture (never told us where) and that would be it. End of Story.
20 DAYS LATER: We finally heard from the dispatcher of Dependable Movers and he stated that only CASH would be accepted for final payment. Then shortly after the drivers called again and asked my fiance to meet them down the street or they would not drop off the furniture, we called 911.
It was the Dallas Police, to the rescue, and got our belongings off their Dependable Movers rental truck (now they were driving U-Haul).
Thanks to the Dallas Police for getting our stuff off the truck!
Summary:
NWMS is only a BROKER with NO trucks, they get paid when you pay them a deposit. Then they wash their hands of you by BROKERING out your precious belongings to anyone they can fine on the side of the road.
DO NOT BE FOOLED: At first, NWMS are nice as apple pie, but after you sign the contract and give them a deposit, they BROKER your deal out and hold your deposit as ransom, charging extra fees, and CASH only mandatory TIPS.
Either at pick-up, delivery, or at both ends, they demand $100's more in CASH or you will never get your deposit or belongings back, they threaten and bully you!!!

After calling around to locate Dependable Movers we found a few legitimate companies whose name was similar and were taking a lot of negative phone calls concerning NWMS and their brokered-out drivers.
A few told us also that at DELIVERY they experienced:
They drivers demanded $CASH TIPS to store their furniture without telling where they would store if they did not PAY to the DRIVERS an $EXTRA CASH, as high as $200.00 CASH TIP to EACH DRIVER!
Thank god for the Dallas Police as we were able to recover are belongings and not give in to their demands!

In our experiences, run away from this mover and do not believe all the lies they list on their website, www.nationwidemovingservices.com.
It seems as these comments are merely false canned copy material written by themselves and are self promoted.
If you are having trouble with this unscrupulous Rip-Off company call the local police, call the BB, and the State Attorneys Office.
