Young man knocked on door selling magazines. (List of magazines was strange) My husband was suspicious immediately. Told us he lived in our neighborhood and his mom walked her golden retrievers on our street. (we live on a 'funny' street, no one walks their dog on our street) He said he goes to Temple University, plays soccer and is the captain of the team and scores 4 o 5 goals per game. He told my husband one story about his brother who is stationed in Iraq and then told me a conflicting story. He showed us checks that our neighbors had written for him. We spent $49 on 2 magazines which would supposedly be sent to soldiers in Iraq.
I almost canceled my check, but I'm too much of a softy. Never again.
