Like the others complaints about Qwest Marketing in Metrowest, I had the same experience but I would say it was rather the worst experience.
The company contacted me for an interview, and when I showed up for it, I filled up a job application, which by the way included my social security number and my driver license number, but the weird's part is that they took a Polaroid picture of me, which I just found it is illegal.
I was taken to a different office along 7 more people to do a test. After 2 days, I was contacted for a 2nd interview, and this time I thought I was going to have a really interview, but wrong again, I was taken to 3 different offices along again with other 4 people, we were sat at a conference office and got explained by Samantha about the job, everyone got interested and we got at that moment the appointment for the 3rd interview which it was a phone call we need to place to Samantha to read an script that she provides that day.
After I read the script, Samantha told me that she decline to offer me a job because I have a STRONG ACCENT. DOES IT SOUND LIKE DISCRIMINATION???!!! She already met me at the 2nd interview, and I did a lot of questions regarding the job, and she really understand me at that time, so WHY she came out with that answer after I read the script? It is really WRONG.
I'm a bilingual person, I also speak Spanish, and of course I have an accent, I wasn't raised in USA but that doesn't mean that people doesn't understand me. I've been in the job field for over 15 years in USA, and never have this problem.
I learned how to write, read and speak English in USA, I attended college and got my bachelor degree in USA and I'm currently working on my master degree at a graduate university. I think this information sounds like I know English.
