For rent, 2-bedroom apartment, furnished, kitchen and two full baths. Sounds great right? Well before you get all excited make sure you read the fine print. For eight months total for rent comes to $14,300.00. Not worth it trust me. I have lived here in college park for 2 years and I should have learned my lesson the first week I was here. Me though being the nice guy I am I gave them another chance to come back a second year to find I wasnt alone in my apartment. But hey I'm getting ahead of myself, lets start with the first year. The first year I was here my deiling leaked horribly ruining some of my clothes and almost my computer. I asked for some money off my rent to payt for the damaged items but they just looked at me like I was telling a joke only I would have found funny. So three weeks went by and no roof repairs, not to mention During the summer days when it was hot I had to close my windows when it rained cause the gutters didnt work. When I told them of the problems I was given buckets for the ceiling and I was advised to close my windows when it rained. Awesome maintenece! Well also the first year a light fixture had fallen by itself, no one was around, I came home to find it smashed to pieces on the floor, so when I told them I needed a new one they were quick to get me a new one and the bill. So the summer passed and I came back to the same apartment in hopes things would be different, they got worse. College park failed to tell me over the summer my electricity had been turned off, so when I moved back in I had no power for 3 days cause they only told me the day I picked up my key. Well I live alone, well I thought I did anyhow, I moved back into my apartment with company, roaches and spiders! Now remember no one has been here for three months, so there was no food in the house or garbage that would attract them, but sure enough they were here, and still are. My friend who lives in the apartment below me also had a bug problem, so we were both given a can of ant killer to take care of the problem, needless to say it hasnt worked yet. Oh I almost forgot to mention, when I moved back in I got a bill for carpet cleaning, but it was funny cause the carpet was not cleaned, from the dust settling all summer the first week I was back in here my sockd and feet turned black, the bathrooms and floors were not cleaned at all, the water layed stagnit. I payed $400.00 for what I could not tell you. But I am happy to say the roof was fixed about 5 days ago, and when the roofers were throwing the shingles on the roof, the shook the apartment knockin two dishes off my counter breaking them. Well I could go on and on but what I am trying to say is save your money, dont make the same mistake I have made... Twice.
