CPG Promotions DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM it is all door to door selling they will suck you in and you use for cheap labo

In case anyone was wondering direct marketing stands for door to door selling 10 hours a day at least according to these clowns. Do not fall for Tiffany Reyes, Josh Woodford, Allison Crea, and all of the other losers at this place. I found an ad for SPORTS MARKETING on craigslist in May of this year, and ended up selling gutters and windows door to door. I was lucky enough to realize my mistake after only two days on the job and I quit asap.

It started way too easily, they called almost 2 hours after I first sent them my resume, and were all too eager to set me up on an interview, THE NEXT DAY. What kind of legit business offers you an interview the day after you contact them? This should have immediately tipped me off, they were way too eager to talk to me.

The next day I showed up in their sketchy as hell office in Norristown, it was in an unmarked building and the waiting room had very tacky large sports logos on the wall. The waiting room was filled with other prospective hires dressed to impress and all looking just as confused as I was. Why was this waiting room filled with 15 people waiting to interview? The lady at the desk was annoyingly nice her desk consisted of a phone computer and a couple of clipboards. After I waited a bit I was called in for my interview and I saw something that really really should have tipped me off that this place sucked.

When I was called in for my interview with Josh I saw that the whole office consisted of a large room with nothing in it! Josh's office was off to the side and was decorated with sports memorabilia intentionally thrown in there to give the appearance of a sports marketing firm. He began to tell me about how they did work with various sports teams and asked me if I was interested. He then after talking for about 30 minutes about how great he was, told me that they would call me the next day to let me know if I made it to the next round. He said that they were interviewing about 50 people that day so if I made it to the next round I would be very lucky. Oh, he never once looked at my resume either.

I was called at about 5 pm that day and informed that I was picked for the next round. I agreed to come and set it for the next day. The next day I skipped all three of my classes to go on an interview for a place I thought was legit. Little did I know that I would have been much better off sitting in philosophy class than going to this. When I showed up that morning I was welcomed by blasting rap music and techno in the office! They explained that this was how they got ready for the day, I thought it a bit odd but concluded that the world is changing maybe this is how business is done now. I was told that we would be leaving soon for our interview. I had no idea we had to go anywhere! I thought this was an office job. We all got into a van me and some other kid on an interview, the whole ride to where we were going the driver chain smoked, really enjoyable experience for me. Once we got out in the "field" which I quickly realized was somebody's neighborhood I thought wtf is this. The guy who was interviewing me I wont mention his name but it starts with B and ends in rock with nothing in between began to tell me about his vast college experience. He had dropped out of three different schools and had a high school diploma to show for it. We walked around this stupid neighborhood for 9! Yes 9 hours. We sold gutters windows and siding for a local philly company. Actually all we did was sell estimates on this. Not once did we sell anything having to do with SPORTS unless you count walking around in 90 degree weather in a full suit sweating off a pound a minute a sport. All we did was stop for lunch once, which yes I had to pay for myself. I should have quit this then, but they told me how lucky iwas to be selected and i was dumb enough to believe them. We went back that night and I was hired on teh spot for a summer internship. I was so desperate for a job, and Josh promised me that I would work with him in the office, so I accepted this. Oh I almost forgot to mention that when we were out in the "field" we were stopped by the police who pleasantly told us to stop going door to door or we were going to be arrested. Turns out Josh neglected to get us a permit.

I returned later that spring to begin my internship and had my training officially begun. Even through this they were interviewing 10 people a day, it seemed that they were endlessly hiring, little bit sketchy I would say. That day I walked door to door for 10 hours again with Brock and made 50 dollars. That evens out to... Yes... 5 dollars an hour. I could have made more money picking road kill off of the road. When we returned to the office I asked Josh when I would be in the office with him, I told him I really did not like this door to door stuff, he said soon maybe even tomorrow.

The next day I did door to door yet again, and this was the final straw. I was walking around in 90 degree weather with a full suit on and had blood blisters all over my feet. I was so dehydrated that I had lost 8 pounds! Once again I worked for exuberant sum of 5 dollars an hour. I was really rolling in the cash. I talked to Josh again when I returned to the office, and he said that I was mistaken, I was never going to work with him in the office, I was a door to door trainee.

The next morning I quit that s h * t. I just didn't show up and I have not for one moment regretted it. The only regret I have is that I wasted 4 days of my life and that I never was able to collect my 100 dollars. I had signed a contract saying that I needed to give them 7 days notice, but I would have payed 500 to get out of that job, it was the worst experience of my life.

Please please please do not fall for this scam. They will promise you upper management quickly but it is a pyramid scam. Josh gets rich off of your hard labor and you make squat. Dont do what i did and take it cause you are desperate. There are legit options out there sometimes it just takes a little bit to find them. This job will just upset you and ruin your summer. They are dishonest terrible terrible people looking to make a quick buck off of you.
