This company charged my VISA account $9.00 for jewelery I ordered online. I received this jewelery and it looks and feels like theearrings and necklace are worth $9.00.
At the time I ordered this jewelery, the online information indicated "all jewelery $9.00"; there was nothing about joining a jewelery club or that the cost of the jewelery would increase to $68.00.
I received, about a week later, another package from the company and I returned it as *Refused* to the address on the envelope All in all, I returned three packages to the Grove Street address.
The company, ShopDani, charged my VISA account $68.00 on July 14 and again on July 22. I called the number on the outside of the first envelope, and told the woman who answered the telephone that I did not wish to receive any packages from the company. I told the woman that I had returned three packages and expected a refund. She said she would cancel my account, but it would be two cycles before I would receive the refund. Then I saw another charge on July 28 for another $68.00.
It has been two cycles since July and I expect a refund to my VISA account in the amount of $204.00. This company has had my money for two months without paying interest, which I have to pay.
I am sending a copy of this to the Attorney General of Illinois, the Attorney General of North Carolina, and possibly the Better Business Bureau.
