Deal Pass
They canceled my membership before getting promised refunds

I joined a Deal Pass membership called Passport to Fun. They have many different memberships. They offer $25 gift cards for $20 - you pay the $25 up front, then at the beginning of the following month, you get a rebate of $5 per card.

I ordered several gift cards in the first week of membership. Two weeks after joining, I received an email that said my membership was canceled. No explanation. I called, but you can't talk to anyone once your membership is canceled. But I had another membership with another company, so I called them. They are linked together so I was able to find a person.

I was told that my membership was canceled because I was a member os Passport to Fun in the past 12 months, so I was not eligible for membership now. A review had been done, so I had been kicked out of the program.

I don't remember anywhere along the lines of being told that you could not become a member within 12 months of belonging. And, really, that shouldn't matter whether I "knew" this or not (which I did not).

They should not accept anyone's membership who is not eligible. As soon as I signed up, I should have been told, no, sorry, you were a member in the past 12 months, therefore are not eligible.

I asked how I was supposed to know this. They said it was in the terms and conditions that would be mailed to me. I said nothing has ever been mailed to me. He said maybe it's on the way. So how was I supposed to know this? Then the person said "you were a member last year, you should have remembered the terms and conditions from then." Which is ridiculous -and I don't recall ever receiving Ts&Cs then either.

The problem is that now that they have canceled my membership, I will not receive my rebates. The people on the phone sent me one level up to their supervisor (I called twice) but the supervisor said the only thing that could be done next was for me to write a letter, which I did that day and sent it certified, registered receipt. The letter was received on Sept 22, signed for by Sandy Soukup. I've not heard from anyone yet.
