In March I made reservations at the Sixty Sixty hotel in Miami, Fl. After making those reservations I was told by a friend about another hotel in the area that would of saved me a little money. So I then called the other hotel to check availability. After I found out that the rooms i need were available i then called sixty sixty hotel and canceled my reservations on the 21st, when my reservation was for the 28th (plenty of notice). After doing that I called back the new hotel and made the reservations.
Sixty Sixty ended up charging me $288.00 and said I was a NO SHOW. I know I called and canceled for a fact my cell phone bill reflects it. But the fact the I don't carry around a conformation notebook with me to right all conformation #'s down it, I was told by Elaine and Marcus the manager of the hotel that I didn't cancel. Now... I did 40k on this card a month from MY business. I always thought my credit card company worked for the costumer but as you can see in this case Elaine must work for the hotel. I really hope the hotel can give chase 40k in sales a month like I did.
This is the most screwed up thing I've ever seen. I feel like I got robbed by the hotel and Elaine because I didn't write down some #. When really the person who answered the phone when I called didn't cancel my reservation / didn't do THEIR JOB!!!
