I recieved a letter in the mail saying that they found me off my job search for a secret shopper. Along with the letter came a check of $3,950.00 and it wanted me to send a big chunk of it to a person named Robyn Summers. It gave me $350.00 to keep and the rest was to be spent at JC Penny's and Wal-mart. Everything looked real until I searched the web.
I was going to use this money to buy my child stuff I couldn't for her birthday.
The check and the company the letter came from did not match. These are stolen checks so please do not cash them. I still do not know what to do with the check and if they have anymore of my information. I do not have much so identity isn't the issue. How do I protect my family?
