I met Michael Matthews in July and fell in love with him. He was a trucker and claimed that he hated it on the road.By the 23rd of Aug. 2007 he had moved into my home with me. At first Mike made attempts to try to find local truck driving jobs but with no luck. So I was the one with the paycheck which he used as if it was his. Finally in January he got a job working in a Steel Mill and that lasted 6 weeks. Well, let me tell you that he cried the whole time he worked there and finally quit because they were about to fire him. That was it, he made half hearted attempts to find another job and I do say half hearted attempts. He was lying to his family and saying that he was working. This continued until June and finally got an OTR job with Covenant Transport out of Chattanooga, TN. I begged him not to take this job with them and find something else because I had read the reports on them. He told me that he was taking the job so that we could get some bills paid up and get ahead a little. So, on the 9th of June I took him down there because he refused to ride a bus, gave him money to live on for a week. We had a joint checking acct. And he was supposed to have a percentage put into the acct. A week, never happened nor did he ever send me any money on any bills that he had helped to accrue. Such as a car that we had bought for him. He came home one time on June 22 to have sex and that was the last time I saw him. On June 27th I knew that things were changing and attempted suicide. He left me with numerous bills and bad checks that I am trying to pay. I talked with him on July 7th and he told me how much that he loved me and was coming home and look for another job. On July 8th he hung the phone up on me and I haven't heard from him since. He has a cell phone in his truck that I am paying for but is turned off and he won't even call to check on me. I am a severe diabetic and I am now going into kidney failure. I can't afford my medicine or the food that I need anymore and I'm very close to loosing my home. As a matter of fact I am trying to sell some of my property to pay off bills that he left me with. I tried to take him to court to regain some of my money but Covenant Transport lies and says that he doesn't work there anymore. I want to warn any ladies out there not to be taken in by this man. He comes across with boyish charm and is very immature thinking only of himself.
