Zombie debt collector attempting to collect a debt that is out of the statute of limitations Schaumberg

This company sent a letter attempting to collect a debt that is beyond the statute of limitations, they also have appeared on my credit report as pinnacle credit services. They say they will accept a lesser amount than what they claim is owed.

Is there any recourse?
