I put several items on craigslist to sell because i need money to pay some bills. I just recently have been laid off in june. The item he responded to was a pair of diamond earrings & tennis bracelet.
He wanted the transaction to be done through paypal. I was very apprehensive but signed up for a paypal account. The next day I got online to see if any money was put into my paypal account. There was no transaction done. I checked my e-mail he said to me that he made the transaction but nothing was in my account. I even received e-mails from paypal saying the money would be put there after I put in a tracking code from DHL or from the post office and then the funds would be put into my account.
Something told me to google his name. To my surprise he's done this same thing to a woman in Florida. So I get a e-mail from paypal saying that legal action would be taken against me if I don't finish this deal. I also get a e-mail from him saying the same thing. I e-mailed him back. I cut, copied & pasted the report that the woman in Florida filed. I told him to google his name and
he would get the same story that i sent in the e-mail.
Apparently, I have 7 hours to put a tracking code in or the FBI would be involved. So this is why I am also reporting him. My paypal account has no activity on it. After all who in their right state of mind would proceed with this transaction after I see this man has already been reported for scamming a craigslist posting.
